New K-5

Picked up my new Pentax K-5 on 27 May 2012.

There is a bit of background to this:
Early last year I had made plans to buy A K-5 and Pentax 35mm Limited.
Then, on 11th March, Japan suffered the awful earthquake and tsunami.
As if this wasn't bad enough, the nuclear situation in Fukushima really prolonged the nightmarish situation...and still does.

I decided to leave Tokyo and Japan on 18th March and head back to England.
I had spent all of my savings on a flight and kissed the camera and lens goodbye.

I returned to Japan in August 2011.
It was not until April 2012 that I had finally got enough money behind me, after paying off the taxman from 2011debt, that I could see the light and hand over the cash for the K-5.

I bought it from Yodobashi Camera in Kichiojoji, Tokyo.
76,400 yen for the body.
The 35mm Limited will have to wait.
